Alister the Parrot
Alister is a rather pretty parrot, isn’t he? Parrots are popular subjects in Victorian needlework, possibly because they were fashionable as pets. Enjoy stitching this charming design with the highest quality Elizabeth Bradley wool.
This kit features a 16" x 16" design on a 20" x 20" canvas. It comes with a chart card, printed canvas measuring 10 holes per inch, needles and soft and luxurious Elizabeth Bradley Tapestry Wool.

Since 1990 I have owned two Elizabeth Bradley needlepoint books and had finished several projects from them and ogled others, especially the parrot. I haven't done any needlepoint in over 25 years and was thrilled with Alister the Parrot when I opened the box. Although the continental tent stitch and half cross tent stitch were the stitches I had typically used, the Victorian cross stitch is easy to work, especially since the design is perfectly and evenly printed. Gorgeous! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Elizabeth Bradley needlepoint kits.
I finished Pete the Parrot last month, started Alister, the new printing I’d great!
