This wool has a lovely, soft hand and a flexible feel. It is also slightly stretchy, so it's especially forgiving to a beginner who doesn't have consistent control over tension. It's the perfect weight to stitch on #10 or #12 canvas with no division of threads needed. Although Elizabeth Bradley Tapestry Wool and the less expensive Appletons Tapestry Wool are both produced by the same company and have basically the same color palette, they are not equal in my opinion. Elizabeth Bradley wool has a much smoother hand and feels less stiff. As a result, Elizabeth Bradley wool is more pleasant to stitch with and the finished product is more pleasant to touch. It's worth every penny.
