The Contented Cat - Victorian Animal Collection

Primitive cats perched atop plush cushions were common features of early nineteenth century Victorian needlework. This piece is evocative of that era and makes a lovely cushion for a living room or bedroom.

This stunning kit features a 16" x 16" design on a 20" x 20" canvas. It comes with a chart card, printed canvas measuring 10 holes per inch, needles, needle threader and soft and luxurious Elizabeth Bradley Tapestry Wool.

I purchased this kit as part of the sale at Thanksgiving. I am looking forward to stitching it. It is beautiful!

My latest EB kit is The Contented Cat, my eighth full-size kit, will be my next project. (I also have another unopened kit.) The irony here is that my first kit was The Cream Cat purchased at Bergdorf Goodman’s in NYC when EB was first marketed in US. I have also done 4
minis and 4 pieces from EB books. Full circle to EB’s other cat. Fitting for the New Year.
