Oak boxes are a great way to display your 6"x6” mini design and a great self-finishing option. The box comes in a whitewash and natural finish. All oak boxes include glass and black velvet lining. Mounts from underside with swivel masonite. All boxes 2 1/2" high.
Please note that you will need to stitch two additional rows around your design before inserting it into the oak box. When placing your order, please include the mini kit design you are stitching in the order note section of your order. We are happy to send these additional strands to you at no charge. Elizabeth Bradley offers free shipping on all domestic (United States) shipments. Rush shipping is available at checkout for an additional charge. Tracking will be emailed at the time of shipment to the email address provided during checkout. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the package weight and shipping destination. I'm, luckily, a grandmother. My grandchildren all ADORE wooden boxes, so when I needlepointed alphabet letters for each of their names I naturally mounted them in the wooden boxes from Elizabeth Bradley. They enjoy keeping their "treasures" (coins for one, marbles and stickers for others) in the hinged boxes. The boxes allow them to keep anything that could be a choking hazard safely away from younger siblings, and provide teaching moments for Gammy. We learn the letters that start their names, and about the animals from the alphabet kit- reindeer, jaguar and lion. Then we get out our wet erase world maps and mark the animals on that, which allows for additional teachable geography lessons. Where do we live? Other family? Names of cities & countries ? What letters in those words can we recognize/ verbalize? My 3 year old grandson loves these 'games' and has learned to recognize and verbalize most of the alphabet, though V is still hard for him. Luckily, his family is planning a trip to Vancouver so he's VERY excited to correct that.....All thanks to his Reindeer box. Highly recommend!

Very nice box tho it does have some distressing. Very nice interior. Using it to display the Violets needlework.
