Finally Treated Myself!

I've been doing needlework for more than 50 years, but never had the money to buy my favorite Elizabeth Bradley kit, Christmas Rose. Since I'm now retired and recently had eye surgery, I decided to treat myself to 2 of them! Felt like an 8 year old on Christmas morning when they arrived. A once in a lifetime purchase! I am going to indulge myself way more often- because feeling like this is priceless.

A Christmas Rose

Beautiful and easy to stitch. I have 3 others (one to match....a pointsetta pillow, and two other shell pillows for the summer. They match my 2 arm chairs.

Christmas Rose

Sometimes photos do not do a design justice. The Christmas Rose kit is one of those designs. Do not hesitate to make it your next stitchery. Subtle colors with a scarlet red background is stunning for anytime of year and especially Christmas. It’s name comes from a shepherd meeting the Magi and feeling he had no gift for the Christ Child. Looking down at his feet in the new fallen snow he saw the small rose like flower and found his gift. The needlepoint kit beautifully captures the meaning of the flower in it’s design. A joy to stitch while remembering the sweet story. Enjoy!
